But what made up my mind about Chantemerle was something else entirely: it is run as a family. Founded in 1966, the Wegmüller family still works on the ground today. With barely 100 students, every teacher knows each child by name, face, and character. For parents sending their child abroad for the first time, there is nothing more reassuring than that. No compromise on academics. Skiing, tennis, sport — taken seriously. But no shouting, no rushing — the child's pace is respected. Tucked in the Swiss mountains, this is a place that quietly nurtures the ability to truly live. For a child who has had their first taste of Switzerland at Alpadia's summer camp, Chantemerle is the natural next step — and that is exactly how I see it.
